Iku Ze!!

Burning wood is so much fun; I don't know why I didn't discover this sooner!    

But anyways, this is probably my favorite male video game protagonist ever: Rallen from Spectrobes with his faithful partner Ryza (my favorite spectrobe line).

For this piece I do what I always do when I burn: I doodle my idea first and then transfer it with carbon paper.  If anyone is curious to see the original pic and mentions it in the comments, I'll put it in my scraps and post a link here.  I used three different tips since this required a lot of shading and defining.  The hardest part was definitely his coat since making an even dark shade is difficult for me and his dumb sword (which totally looks crooked because it didn't fit on the entire wood piece).

I am planning on doing a whole wood spectrobes line after having so much fun with this, so next up is Jeena with her own child spectrobe pal!
